Strawberries and Rhubarb

I've been having a hard time figuring out my style this fall. This may be partially because one day it will be cold and the next it will be 80, but I feel like there aren't any prominent trends that are really sticking with me at the moment. This may have been the most dressed up I've been in a week. Every other day I've been content in jeans, a striped shirt, a denim jacket, and converse. I have a feeling I'll be sticking with basics for a while.

These pictures were taken in Julian, California. My four roommates and I decided to go up for the day this past Sunday. This semester has been exhausting physically and emotionally, so it ended up being a much needed break for me. And I got a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie, which was definitely a plus. Here are a few pictures from that day:

Where no cars go

This is Lizzy. Lizzy and I met one evening in the bathroom by my school's cafeteria when she approached me about my resemblance to Krysten Ritter. Since then this girl has continued to bring me so much joy in a time that has been filled with stress. The other day she helped me out with a photo assignment and I am so pleased with how the pictures turned out I had to share. Not only is she a total babe, but also one of the most wonderful people I've met. So I figured the internet would be a better place with a little more Lizzy in it.

Unity

Some of my thoughts for the new month:

1. Junior year has brought a lot of uncertainty. I'm trying to figure out how to be comfortable with that.

2. I'm not sure why I didn't invest in a pair of Converse much sooner. I forgot shoes could be so comfortable.

3. My hair is getting long. And I think I'm going to actually let it be long for a while. Maybe.

4. When I was asked the question, "Where do you find your escape?" I realized that for me it is in good conversation.

5. I'm really tired of warm Southern California weather.
