Earlier this week I went to a Black Lips concert. Literally the craziest thing I have ever experienced. There were a few bands there, all with this wannabe 70s punk/surf rock sound, which was really awesome. Even though I didn't know a lot of the bands there, who doesn't love listening to people make a lot of loud noise?! (actually a lot of people I'm sure, but I loved it so whatever). It was pretty much the closest I'd get to experiencing a 70s punk concert....if only time travel were possible...*sigh* When the Black Lips went on, it was pure madness. Lots of moshing, crowd surfing, and girls going on the stage to make out with the band members (even a few guys did too).
But I think my favorite part about the whole experience was seeing what everyone wore. While a majority of the crowd looked like the only store they knew existed was urban outfitters, you still had a good amount of people with spikes, pink hair, and black lipstick. My kind of people.
In other news, I saw the movie Ruby Sparks last night. IT WAS SO GOOD OMG EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE IT. I'm seriously still freaking out about it. Seriously though, go see it. Right now.
Oh and check out my Etsy!!! Momma needs a pair of creepers ;)
Ok sorry there was really no point to this post. But what else is new.
AND IF YOU HAVE NEVER LISTENED TO THE BLACK LIPS LISTEN TO THESE SONGS THEY'RE REALLY GOOD I SWEAR.
Sounds like an awesome concert! I love the skate skirt you are wearing, great look!
