You're the Boss, Applesauce

Striped Turtle Neck Tank thing- my sister, Velvet Leggings- American Apparel, Boots- Thrifted, Jacket- Tunnel Vision

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgivings. My week being at home was so nice, especially since I was able to be reunited with old friends. However going back to school was so hard. I have three weeks until winter break, all filled with finals. Not only that but I have a twelve page research paper due Wednesday that I haven't started (Why am I blogging....?)

So I guess this is where most bloggers post about all the things they got on Black Friday, right? Well, let me tell you what happened to me. I have never done the whole get up at the crack of dawn and go shopping thing, so my good friend Veronica and I decided to go shopping mainly for fun. At midnight we decided to head over to the Irvine Spectrum to check out the Urban Outfitters sale. First, we get there and discover this huge line of Orange County hipsters to get in. Neither of us really cared about being able to hit as many deals as we could, and there wasn't really anywhere we cared about going, so we decided to just wait. There was this huge swarm of people right around the door, and every time someone would open the door to leave the store, everyone would push and try to force their way in. People were so crazy that it looked like they could have been at a concert or something. There were fights breaking out and, I kid you not, someone was crowd surfing at one point. Really. It ended up getting so bad that they didn't open the store at all that morning.
It was just a good reminder of how much I hate Orange County.

Desolate

Top- Cotton On, Shorts- H&M, Jacket- Thrifted
I would just like to point out the fact that I got this top for $3. Yep. Soak it in. Don't you just love when you get up to the register and something is an extra 50% off like an already 50%. It's great.

I pretty much love Elle Fanning and think she's absolutely adorable, so naturally, I followed her on instagram. But I was really disgusted when I came across this post.

Elle Fanning is 14 years old. 14. It is absolutely disgusting and perverted that someone would look at this 14 year old girl and rather see that she was having fun on halloween in a cute costume, they decide to look at her body and discuss it. Our society is so obsessed with women's bodies and objectifying women whenever they get a chance. You can't go a day without seeing or hearing someone discuss a prominent woman's body.  While the article was changed, the fact that someone thought it was fine to talk about a 14 year old in this way is absolutely ridiculous.

What's your name? Who's your daddy? Is he rich like me?

This week started out so stressful. But luckily things have gotten so much better today. One of my classes for canceled, I was able to get all the classes I wanted to register for, and I'm about to go have all you can eat sushi. Down.
Also, I've decided that once you cut your hair short, it becomes an addiction! I just want to go shorter now. I can barely fit my hair into a pony tail now, and I hate it (well not really). Too long for me.
I hope everyone had a great Halloween! I went trick-or-treating with a large group of friends and it was so much fun. Yes, I am in college. Yes, I have the spirit of a 5 year old. I dressed up as Anna Wintour, which I think turned out to be one of my favorite costumes ever.

Also for one of my communication classes I have to give a persuasive speech. I was going to do something about feminism but my teacher said it's "over-done" so I can't. If you have any ideas on something interesting I could do that's not "over-done", please let me know!
