Skirt- American Apparel, Flower Crown- DIY, Yin Yang Necklace- DIY
I'm obsessed with this skirt. I got it at American Apparel a few weeks ago. It took a lot for me to buy it, considering it was around $50 and I'm broke, so that's a lot of money for me to throw down on one item. But I'm so glad I bought it. The waist is perfect and I love the snap closure it has. I've been wearing it a lot, because its a lot more fun to wear then my typical high waisted shorts. Plus the kind of pin-upy style of it is fun to mix with more edgy outfits.
Also, how refreshing is it to finally have some nice quality pictures?! I love my new camera. I got a Canon EOS Rebel T3 as a graduation gift, and have been bringing it around with me everywhere. Needless to say, I have a lot of pictures to put up. So be expecting a large post sometime soon.

Teenagers From Mars

Shirt- Borrowed, Skirt- Urban Outfitters, Belt- DIY

Isn't this shirt marvelous?! Oh how I wish it was mine. A really good friend of mine has all these awesome shirts. As soon as I saw this one, I had to snatch it from her (along with a "Don't Mess With Texas" shirt). I have a weird love for aliens, and appreciate anything dealing with them.
Also, how awesome is this belt? I actually made it for prom. It was a terrible experience, trying to make it. It took hours trying to make holes in the belt to screw in the spikes. But it was so worth it. People always ask me if it scratches me. Surprisingly, it isn't too uncormfortable. (Even if it was, I'd still wear it.) The only time it did scratch me was at prom, but that's because I was dancing. I obviously didn't have a date.....

See ya losers.

Wolverine, Homecoming Queen

Hat- H&M, Shirt- Thrifted, Skirt- Forever 21

I swear, this hat has to be one of the most annoying things I own. It has a tendency to fly off my head at terrible times, like when I'm in a parking lot and a car is waiting for me to cross. Too bad I love it.

Lately, I have been trying to stop shopping at Forever 21. Unfortunately for me and my lack of money to spend, that has been a lot harder than it should be. I mean I'm even wearing a skirt from there in this post.
There are many reasons not to support Forever 21. The main one would be that they support child labor. Forever 21 buys most of its cotton from Uzbekistan, were the government forces children to leave school and pick cotton.
Another reason I do not support the company is because of the terrible customer service. I'm not even sure what the employees do there to be honest, because it seems like every time I go in there you can't find a single thing because nothing is in it's place. And when you ask someone working there to help you find something (who will probably act all pissed from you "bugging" them) they never know where anything is.
Not only that, but in my opinion Forever 21 ruins a lot of trends. Their ability to present a trend in the most tacky, cheap, and horrendous way possible stuns me. For me, it is usually a good warning sign to stop wearing a trend when I see a poorly made bedazzled version of it hanging in Forever 21.
But I think the worst thing about Forever 21 is how cheap their prices are. It is so tempting to go in there and spend $15 on a top, especially when you are unemployed like me. For a while now I've been telling myself that I need to stop shopping there, but that temptation keeps pulling me back in. Lately I've been doing pretty good. Besides the felt hat I just bought on sale...
But I swear. I'm really going to try to stop.

If child labor is a really important issue to you, I encourage you to go to this website and sign a petition telling Forever 21 to stop supporting child labor. More information is on the website.
