Motel Romper

I've teamed up with Motel again, this time showing how I would take this romper from day to night. I absolutely love this romper. The long sleeves really make it for me, giving it more of a retro look. The pattern and color make it super easy to pair with things. The fabric is also lightweight and soft, making it really comfortable!

Day Look:

For this look I really wanted to keep it simple and show off the cut and sleeves. I paired it with my hat because it would be a personal sin if I didn't try to wear this hat with every outfit I put on. I liked that the Chelsea boots gave it a more contemporary look as well.

Night Look:

I'm a big advocate of wearing a leather jacket with everything, this romper being no exception. I liked that it gave the romper an edgier look. I decided to add the fur to dress it up a little bit.

New Basics

Jacket- Ebay, Shirt- Zara, Pants- Urban Outfitters, Shoes- ASOS
I present to you what is probably the best outfit to depict my current style aesthetic. My friends describe my current look as "very European", as I grow a sudden distaste for any color but black and most accessories, besides maybe my watch and pearl earrings. But most importantly is my leather jacket, which has basically become my second skin.

These pictures were taken in Italy but I'm back in California now. If I learned anything from being abroad it's how great California is. Never have I been so happy to be home. I still have a few more pictures from Italy to post on here since I'm terrible at being a consistent blogger. Maybe I'll add keeping up with this blog to my New Year's resolutions? Or do resolutions ultimately just end up in failure?

Femininity

Pants- American Apparel, Shoes- Urban Outfitters, Tank- Zara

When I first bought these pants, I was a little unsure about them. Not because I felt uncomfortable in them or didn't like them, but because I was unsure as to how often I would end up wearing them. Well needless to say, I'm glad I kept them. Little did I know not only how many outfits I would be pairing them with, but also how confident and unexpectedly feminine they would make me feel. I even got a pair of low nude pointed toe pumps to wear with them, something I would have NEVER expected to happen (I've been anti-pumps for a while now). So expect to see more of these pants on my blog. I also hope to get a striped pair too.
Well done American Apparel.
