Stripes & Levi's

I was thinking about the things I wear on here, and realized there was kind of a sense of dishonesty. Not in that what I wear isn't my style, but I never really capture my day to day outfits. To be honest, what I usually post on here I really tried to put together and make look nice according to my personal standards. I don't think that's a bad thing necessarily because I still very much like the things I wear and I actually do wear them, by rarely do I post what I wear on more laid back days when I don't feel the need to put some whole outfit together. So here you have it, a good go to of mine of stripes and a pair of 501s that are falling apart.

Motel Romper

I've teamed up with Motel again, this time showing how I would take this romper from day to night. I absolutely love this romper. The long sleeves really make it for me, giving it more of a retro look. The pattern and color make it super easy to pair with things. The fabric is also lightweight and soft, making it really comfortable!

Day Look:

For this look I really wanted to keep it simple and show off the cut and sleeves. I paired it with my hat because it would be a personal sin if I didn't try to wear this hat with every outfit I put on. I liked that the Chelsea boots gave it a more contemporary look as well.

Night Look:

I'm a big advocate of wearing a leather jacket with everything, this romper being no exception. I liked that it gave the romper an edgier look. I decided to add the fur to dress it up a little bit.

Ode to the Jumpsuit

One trend I'm all about right now is the jumpsuit. I've teamed up again with Motel to show three different ways I would style a jumpsuit. Comfortable, but not always easy to wear, this task ended up being a fun challenge for me. I've always loved jumpsuits and have been really been looking for a good one for this fall. This one is a dream. Not only is it the perfect fit and style, but it is literally the most comfortable thing ever. And it has pockets.

If I was going to a farmers market or doing something girly on a Sunday

My first instinct when putting on this jumpsuit was to pair it with my denim jacket. I decided to give it a more retro illusion by adding on a leather belt.

If I wanted to dress it up more without being too girly

I've also been obsessing over tan trench coats lately (I found this London Fog one at a thrift store for $2, holla) so it was the next natural thing for me to try over this jumpsuit. I loved the baggy-ness of the jumpsuit mixed with the long trench coat. I decided to balance out the tomboy vibe by adding a statement necklace and simple heels.

How I would wear it to class

For this final look I decided to play up the comfort of the jumpsuit by adding my two favorite go to pieces in my wardrobe currently. White high tops were a must, and this hat literally goes with everything so naturally I added it. I threw on some reflective sunglasses from zeroUV to dress up the look a little bit. (Also, I finally went to Salvation Mountain!!!!!)

Oh and the best part? You can get this dream of a jumpsuit for yourself right now ON SALE (and anything else that will make your dreams come true). Today through Monday, Motel is offering 25% everything on the site, so now is your opportunity! It will change your life. Ok maybe not your life, but it will make getting dressed in the morning a little more fun.

Strawberries and Rhubarb

I've been having a hard time figuring out my style this fall. This may be partially because one day it will be cold and the next it will be 80, but I feel like there aren't any prominent trends that are really sticking with me at the moment. This may have been the most dressed up I've been in a week. Every other day I've been content in jeans, a striped shirt, a denim jacket, and converse. I have a feeling I'll be sticking with basics for a while.

These pictures were taken in Julian, California. My four roommates and I decided to go up for the day this past Sunday. This semester has been exhausting physically and emotionally, so it ended up being a much needed break for me. And I got a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie, which was definitely a plus. Here are a few pictures from that day:
